For the past few years, there have been various types of new jobs that we do not have any idea about what they actually do. These new professional titles emerged along with the rapid development of digital technology in recent years.

Now, we would like to give an example of a relatively new professional employment, that maybe not many people are familiar with, and is called the UX Writer (User Experience Writer). So, what is a UX Writer?

The Definition of UX Writer

As quoted by coil.com, Emily Stevens in UXPlanet.com mentions that the UX Writer is someone who is responsible for crafting all the text (also called a microcopy) that appears throughout the interface of digital products such as websites, mobile applications, and software.

This microcopy is mainly short and aims to guide the users when interacting with digital products, either website, software, or mobile apps. The microcopy is very important to help users find the information/thing they are looking for. The microcopy is carefully crafted in such a way as to make it easier for users to use the website, mobile application, and/or software.

All these hint messages are similar to navigation that serves to direct users. When ordering food online through the application, you will be guided with short messages as hints. When there is an error in using the website/application, such text will also notify you.
